Super Junior makes a “Mr. Simple” comeback on Music Bank

Super Junior, the leading men of the Hallyu wave, have finally returned to home base on KBS’s Music Bank to promote their fifth official album. Though their lead track may be titled, ”Mr. Simple“, the unique performance they’ve put on tonight is anything but!

The group have once again rocked the stage with a powerful, energetic choreography. Since the lyrics for “Mr. Simple” express society’s loss of motivation and dreams due to their overly-complicated lifestyles, Super Junior decided to deliver flashy visuals to match their message.

SHINee Onew’s ideal type is Jungah After School

On August 21st’s broadcast of KBS radio show, Lee Soo Young’s Music Show, SHINee’s Onew,revealed his his ideal type of girl.

In the past, Onew never revealed any specific girl, but on his visit to the radio show, he finally revealed his ideal girl, as he picked Jungah of After School.

After revealing his ideal type, he added, “I don’t know her age, but I do know that she’s a noona [older sister].”

Meanwhile, DJ Lee Soo Young, who has always liked Onew, expressed her jealousy which caught him off guard. Onew however, brightened her up by saying that his ideal type, voice wise, is Lee Soo Young.

Yesung reveals Super Junior’s baby photos

Super Junior member Yesung has revealed a photo showing a “baby” version of Super Junior.

On August 5th, Yesung tweeted: “These kids .. turned into Super Junior ^^ Working Hard today too!!”

Along with this tweet, he posted a photo of the various Super Junior members as babies on top of the cover of their “Mr. Simple” album.

Super Junior’s Kangin helps out in flood recovery

Currently in the military as a active-duty soldier, Kangin committed to supporting the flood recovery from July 28th to August 2nd.

According to a military official, the Hyungchon Village in Seoul was the area where Kangin and his group were assigned to. This area had been damaged the most from the recent storm and was put under intensive flood recovery operation; nearly 300-400 soldiers were assigned to support the citizens in this particular area.

During this operation, soldiers had to go down to the basement and dig up the mud themselves without the use of equipment; the soldiers worked hard all throughout the weekend to help out in the recovery.

Meanwhile, Kangin, who had voluntarily enrolled into the army after admitting guilt to his DUI and assault charges, didn’t hesitate in going into the dirty mud water and even took the initiative according to his fellow soldiers.

A military official stated, “In Kangin’s case, there was the possibility of some trouble because he is older than most of the soldiers who are also higher than him in ranking. But he’s getting along with the others very well and acts as the youngest soldier of the group”. He also added that he wishes that Kangin will safely finish whats left of his military service and succeed in making his comeback as a singer.

G-Dragon shaves his head

Last month we reported that Korean Music Award winners Drunken Tiger & T, Taeyang, Miss A, as well as K-Pop chart-toppers GD&TOP would perform at the SuperTraxx Concert on August 5th.

Earlier today, the concert was held at the Pentaport Incheon Dream Park and Big Bang leader G-Dragon was at the center of attention as he revealed his new “shaved head” to the public.

Fans were wondering “Is G-Dragon going to the army?” While other fans thought that, “G-Dragon even looks good with a shaved head.”

Kim Heechul updates fans on his current diet

On August 4th, Super Junior’s Kim Heechul shared a new photo of himself via Twitter.

Although his long legs and strong facial features drew much admiration, fans were more concerned about the serious dark-circles under his eyes. He also looked rather gaunt and pale.

“Extreme diets make you look gaunt and out of it,” Kim Heechul tweeted. “Everything in moderation…”

Netizens responded to the picture with, “What weight are you trying to lose?”, “At this rate, you are going to pass out“, and “Health comes first!”

Super Junior talks about their happiest moments

On August 4th, Super Junior finally held their much-anticipated comeback press conference at the Imperial Palace Hotel, inviting 200 different media outlets.

Leader Leeteuk was asked a special question by a fan from the States who wondered what his happiest moment was. To the surprise of many, Leeteuk replied, “Right before our debut.” He explained that the beauty of dreaming with hope for his future was his happiest moment.

Fellow members Eunhyuk and Si Won jokingly commented, “Kyuhyun wasn’t with us right before our debut. Isn’t he basically saying he was the happiest when Kyuhyun wasn’t with us?” They continued to tease the leader by going on to reply, “I was the happiest when Kyuhyun joined”, and “I was the happiest when Kyuhyun was discharged from the hospital.”

Shindong answered, “The members like to make a lot of bets. A while ago, Kyuhyun lost a game of rock, paper, scissors and had to pay for our entire dinner when all he had was two pieces of meat. I can’t help but smile like a mother when I see our members find joy in the littlest of things.”

With a smile, Sungmin added, “There are so many happy moments that I don’t know what to choose. The fact that I can even choose is such a happy moment for me.”

Super Junior’s Leeteuk and Heechul to enlist in 2012

Super Junior’s Leeteuk and Heechul have revealed that they will be enlisting in the army in 2012.

Leeteuk and Heechul were both born in 1983, and will turn 28-years-old this year. By law, the two are required to enlist by next year, as they will be 29 years old.

A representative of SM Entertainment said, “There isn’t anything decided regarding their enlistment, but because of their age, they will have to enlist sometime next year the latest.”

In effect, Super Junior’s fifth album will essentially be their final album until their discharge.

After hearing of the news, fans commented, “We feel more affection towards the album because it is their final album before their enlistment.”

The men previously revealed that they would be holding a world tour before their enlistment.

CNBLUE to kick off Asian tour in September

CNBLUE is ready to take on Asia, as they’ve just announced their first Asian tour, “CNBLUE 2011 Asia Tour Concert ‘Blue Storm’“!

The band’s first official album, “First Step“, was lauded as a massive success, thanks to its chart-topping hits like “Intuition” and “Love Girl“. As such, there’s no better time to start a tour across Asia and continue the momentum.

Representatives of FNC Music said, “This tour will be a great present to fans all over Asia who have been waiting for it.”

Ticket sales will open through Interpark, Mnet, and other event sales sites starting August 2nd for fanclub members, and the 3rd for everyone else. The tour will kick off with a two-day concert in Seoul on September 17th and 18th.
